Description
Be part of Europe's #1 historic motorsport show! Iconic Racing Cars | Live Rally Action | Specialist Exhibitors | Motorsport Legends Bringing together the biggest turnout of racing drivers, preparers, traders and enthusiasts, Race Retro, powered by Motor Sport covers every discipline including formula and circuit racing, rallying, hill climbs, touring cars, single marque series, motorcycling, sports and GT cars. Hosting an exciting line up of show features including celebrities on the Motor Sport Live Stage, the Live Rally Stage, over 250 specialist exhibitors including the Autojumble for all your small parts and the Motor Sport Hall of Fame Live showcasing legendary motors, the 2018 Race Retro Show really had it all! This year, the Motor Sport Hall of Fame Live was a hub of celebrations, first of which was 40 years ground-effects era. In the display there was the Williams FW07 which took Alan Jones to victory in the 1980 championship, the Ralt 3 raced by Martin Brundle against the late great Ayrton Senna in British F3 and the ex-Siegfried Stohr Chevron B48 F2. The showstopper of the display was no doubt the Lotus 79 that took Mario Andretti to the world championships and was the first car to take on this ground breaking technology. Next on the list of celebrations was the 30 year career of Prodrive's David Richards. On display were four cars spanning more than 30 years of David and Prodrive's success including the 1996 Subaru Impreza the legendary Colin McCrae drove to victory in the 1996 Rallye Catalunya, the 2004 BAR 060 which took Jenson Button to third place in the driver's championship and the very first model ever designed and built by Prodrive, the 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS. Other displays celebrated Jaguar’s racing history at Le Mans, Porsche’s motorsport heritage and contenders in the new for 2018, Motor Sport Hall of Fame Racing Car category. As well as iconic racing cars, there was the opportunity to hear from motorsport legends on the Motor Sport Live Stage. Brian Redman, the most recent racing driver to be inducted into the Motor Sport Hall of Fame, made his Race Retro debut. Alongside Brian, World Rally Champion, Miki Biasion, Triple British Touring Car Champion, Matt Neal, F1 designers John Barnard and Frank Dernie, motorcycle racer and TV pundit Steve Parrish were just a few names who graced the stage throughout the weekend giving some insights in to their outstanding careers. Along with all of the above features enjoy live action on the Live Rally Stage, vote in the Pride of the Paddock, experience the Arrive & Drive a Classic Car operated by HERO Events, bid in the Silverstone Auctions sale and visit the Race Licence Medicals for testing. Join us at Stoneleigh Park, 22-24 February 2019 and kick start your historic motorsport season!Home Banner CTA Desktop Visitor FAQs If you have any other questions that are not answered on this website then please be sure to ask us directly. Simpy email your query to info@raceretro.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible! Please note the below FAQs are subject to change. Q: What are the dates for the Race Retro, powered by Motor Sport 2019? A: Race Retro dates: Friday 22 February 2019 Saturday 23 February 2019 Sunday 24 February 2019 Q: What are the opening times? A: The Show is open: Friday: 9:30am to 5:30pm Saturday: 9:30am to 5:30pm Sunday: 9:30am to 4:30pm Q: How much are the tickets? A: We have a variety of ticket packages available to suit your requirements plus if you book in advance you will save money! Visit our ticket page here for more information. Q: I prefer to buy my advance tickets over the phone, not over the web, what number should I use? A: UK Visitors please call: +44 (0)871 297 0743 (Calls to this number cost 13p per minute plus standard network extras) Group bookings call: +44 (0)844 412 4650 (Calls cost 13p per minute plus standard network extras) or email: groups@seetickets.com International Bookings: +44 (0)115 896 0239 Q: Can I buy tickets on the door? A: Yes you certainly can, however, to save you time and money, booking in advance is altogether more convenient and offers better prices. See our tickets page which provides all the information you need to know about advance and on-the-door ticket prices! Q: How do I book a Rally passenger ride? A: Passenger rides are only available on the Saturday and Sunday of the show. These cannot be booked in advance and are available on a first come first served basis on the day. You will experience approximately two laps of the rally stage and the cost is £25.00. Simply head of the Rallying with Group B stand in Hall 1 at the show to book your slot. Q: Where can I eat? A: There are several food outlets all around the halls at the show serving delicious food (prices vary accordingly). Q: What about if I've brought a packed lunch? A: A common visitor complaint is that there's nowhere to sit and eat packed lunches in the halls. This is a tricky one because as much as we would like to, if we were to provide everyone a seat in the halls, there wouldn't be room for any cars! What people tend to forget is that, just outside all the halls, there is lots of freely available seating to use. There's no problem leaving the halls (you'll get your hand stamped on exit allowing you back in) for a while to eat your lunch! Q: Is there accommodation near to the venue? A: For help in finding accommodation in the area, please visit our 'Accommodation' page where HotelMap (our official accommodation provider) will be able to help find and book hotels near Stoneleigh Park at discounted rates - click here to visit the page. To book accommodation at The Stoneleigh Park Lodge, located on the show ground, please visit their website. Q: What parking is available on site? A: We're pleased to offer over 3,000 free parking spaces, located a short walk from the halls at the show. We also have a two-tiered level of VIP parking with spaces offered directly outside the entrance hall designated as Pole parking and the Grand Ring, located a maximum of a 5 minute walk from the halls designated as Podium parking. Should you wish to purchase VIP parking, you will need to book this in advance and will be issued with a hard copy-ticket ahead of the show which will need to be placed on the dashboard of your car in order to gain entry. VIP parking has limited availability, so it's advised to book your space as soon as possible. Book your VIP parking space now. A specific car park has also been designated for disabled visitors who may use it free of charge subject to display of their blue disabled parking permits via the public car park. Q: Is there a separate entrance for disabled visitors? A: Disabled visitors can enter the site through gate 1 and must have their disabled badge in order to gain access to designated disabled parking (disabled parking is subject to availability). Visit our Assisted Access page for more information. Q: Is there access for caravans/motorhomes? A: There is limited hardstanding for motorhomes as this would need to be prioritised for event parking. Please contact Stoneleigh Park Lodge directly to make bookings, telephone number: +44 (0)247 669 0123. Q: Where is the Silverstone Auctions Entrance? A: Silverstone Auctions customers should enter Race Retro through the main Gate 1 only - all guests are required to register for the auction. Q: Are dogs allowed at the show? A: Unfortunately no dogs are allowed entry at the show, other than assistance dogs. Q: Are there cash machines on site? A: There are no cash machines on-site. Some exhibitors will take card payments, but it is advisable to come with some cash.
