Geneva International Motor Show 2019: Registrations are now open!
The 89th Geneva International Motor Show is open to new ideas: The regulations for the 2019 Motor Show have been made more flexible. Participants from all domains of individual transportation can now inscribe. In addition, the Motor Show will better respond to the needs of both exhibitors and visitors and will put the emphasis on the future trends for the automobile industry. Inscriptions for interested exhibitors will are open since May 1 to July 1, 2018. The 89th Geneva International Motor Show will take place from March 7-17, 2019 at Palexpo in Geneva.
The world of individual transportation is changing: manufacturers and suppliers must come to grips more and more the questions regarding the electrification of vehicles and connected mobility, driverless vehicles, packages of digital services or transportation services. For these reasons the Organising Committee of the Motor show have reviewed its General Regulations and will adapt a number of improvements for the Geneva International Motor Show 2019. The categories authorized in Article 4 have been expanded. The Motor Show will be open to all facets of individual transportation, and in particular:
• To suppliers in relation to highway transportation,
• To presenters of connected transportation from the electronics sector.
• To suppliers of original equipment for individual transportation,
• To all of the products in the portfolios of automobile manufacturer.
These changes will allow exhibitors to present their partners and suppliers in the most favourable manner possible and will offer considerable flexibility for the choice of products and objects to be exhibited.

The 2018 Geneva International Motor Show confirmed once again its importance as its exhibition halls were full and with the presentation of 157 World and European Premiers. More than 660,000 visitors from all over the world were registered during the 11 public days. The highlights of this year’s Motor Show can be found at the official website: www.gims.swiss.

The allocation of the exhibition spaces will remain the same as in preceding years
For 2019, as with the last number of years, Halls 1 and 6 of Palexpo will be reserved for manufacturers, preparation specialists and for designers. Hall 7 will again be dedicated to the Swiss Automotive Industry. The concept for 2018 which gave the small and medium size enterprises presenting in Hall 7 the choice to participate with an individual stand for the full duration of the Motor Show or for a shorter term (from March 7-11), organised in conjunction with the SAA (Swiss Automotive Aftermarket), will continue in 2019. They will be presenting the latest trends and innovations in the accessories and equipment market for all types of vehicles.
The time-frame is limited for inscriptions of interest.
Interested exhibitors can request the inscription documents for the Geneva International Motor Show from the General Secretariat (tanja.walther@palexpo.ch) and inscribe directly on-line. The closing date for inscriptions is July 1, 2018.
The Geneva International Motor Show
The Geneva International Motor Show is the only international motor show recognised by the OICA (International Organisation of Automobile Constructors) that takes place every year in Europe and is a member of the « Top 5 » worldwide.
Parking facilities at Palexpo car park are only for exhibitors. However, over 5.600 slots during the week and some 10.000 slots on the weekend will be available for Motor Show visitors in several park decks located within 5 km radius around Palexpo (Flat rate: CHF 25.- per car). The Geneva police will manage the traffic in real time. The car parks are opened based on occupancy levels and the volume of traffic. Visitors are kindly requested to follow the “P Salon” signs.
Fees are payable for parking. Free shuttle buses run regularly between the various car parks and the Motor Show’s main entrance.
Parking facilities for disabled persons
Parking spaces for disabled people are available in the Palexpo car park P12 and the outside car park P47. The number of parking spaces for the disabled is limited and can therefore not be guaranteed. Fees are payable for parking. The shuttle bus from/to P47 is equipped for persons with reduced mobility.

From neighbouring France
The parking area at Vitam (ex Macumba) is open every day. There are shuttle buses from/to the Motor Show. A fee for shuttles is payable.
Great St Bernard Tunnel
The tunnel grants a free passage, without expiration date, for the next transit to the visitors of the Motor Show. The passangers need to present at the toll both, during the return trip, both the single trip fair and the printed entry ticket to the Geneva Motor Show within 72 Hours of the departure.
