This Privacy Policy Statement explains how Car Huddle uses personal information collected or processed in connection with our service, which is an online platform for automotive enthusiasts to read, create, and share news, reviews, and other information relating to cars with others (the “Service”). The individual or organisation that subscribes to the Service will be referred to as the “Subscriber” or “you”.
By using the Service, registering your details or participating in the Service, you consent to Car Huddle handling and processing your information as described below.
Third party information and websites
Information may be sourced from third parties by Car Huddle and/or you in compiling the Service. Where such third party information forms or may form part of the Service, we have relied on the information provided to us by third parties. We do not guarantee the correctness or completeness of the information provided on the Service.
The Service may contain advertisements (which may be directed to Subscribers based on information you include in your personal profile when using the Service) and links to other websites that are owned and operated by third parties. The information practices of those websites linking from or to the website are not covered by this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, and Car Huddle is not responsible and cannot be held liable for the content or practices of any third party website. Please consult each website’s privacy policy. The provision of a link on the Service does not constitute an endorsement of that website or related any products or services.
"Personal Information"
This Privacy Policy concerns the use by Car Huddle of personal Information being data that can be linked to or identified with a living individual.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any data insofar as it is held, processed, disclosed or published in a form which cannot be linked to a living individual (“Generic Data”). We may generate Generic Data out of any databases containing Personal Information and make use of such Generic Data as we see fit.
Who processes Personal Information?
This Privacy Policy concerns personal information processed by or for Car Huddle.
Where Personal Information is collected from you in connection with your use of the Service or where you consent to the use of your Personal Information, Car Huddle is responsible for the processing and storing of such Personal Information.
You may choose to share your Personal Information with third parties and other Subscribers by making such information viewable by electing for your information to be made “public” when using the Service. When you share Personal Information Huddleugh the Service with third parties (including other Subscribers and third party websites), that information will remain under the control of the third party in question. Car Huddle has no control over the use of Personal Information which has been shared with third parties and this Privacy Policy does not relate to the use of the Subscriber’s Personal Information.
Personal Information collected in connection with the distribution of products, services and software
To provide the Service, a Subscriber must provide minimal details including a display name to use the Service and an email address. The Service allows Subscribers to submit additional Personal Information to the Service to create a personal profile, post content and share it with other Subscribers.
Car Huddle collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate. Car Huddle does not disclose Personal Information other than as described in this Privacy Policy. Subscribers can always refuse to supply Personal Information, however it may prevent you from engaging in certain parts of the Service. Car Huddle uses Personal Information provided by Subscribers for the purpose of communicating with the Subscriber and administering, delivering, improving and personalising the Service.
Car Huddle does not share Personal Information obtained from its Subscribers with any third parties (other than partners of Car Huddle in connection with the Service or as provided for in the Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy) except where you have given your consent.
Storage, security and retention of Personal Information
Personal Information that Car Huddle collects is stored on cloud-based servers (which may be located outside the EEA). We implement and maintain adequate security measures to protect such information stored on our servers and seek to comply with all local rules in respect of storage of data. Car Huddle also seeks to collect no more Personal Information from Subscribers than is required for the purpose for which it is collected. This, in turn, helps reduce the total risk of harm should data loss or a breach in security occur.
When you use the Website
Cookies

We use cookies to help us identify and track visitors, their usage of the Service, and their website access preferences. URL, internet protocol and website usage information
When you use the Service your IP address is recorded to guard against possible abuses. This information is not used by us to track your movement outside the Service. We may also collect information about users of the website Huddleugh on-line surveys and questionnaires, preference choices you make and information on your usage of the Service. Users traffic patterns (such as which website you have come from and which website you go to from the Service) may be tracked Huddleughout your online session. When you contribute content to the Service

As a Subscriber, you may participate in any discussions, articles or communication spaces offered on the Service. The Contribution will be made public (available to be viewed by any other Subscriber). Any Contribution viewable by other Subscribers may be shared via a number of social media platforms (including, without limitation, Facebook, Twitter, Google+) and email. When a Contribution is shared in this way a link to that Contribution is sent out via the relevant social media channel.
Communication with other Subscribers
Car Huddle gives Subscribers the opportunity to communicate with other Subscribers via in mail and question, discussion and article spaces. You are solely responsible for your conduct on the Service and must be courteous and respectful towards other Subscribers at all times. In accordance with our Terms of Use, we may use your personal information to investigate and pursue any actual, suspected or possible activity which is deemed inappropriate and Car Huddle reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content posted by you.
Other forms in which Personal Information may be used
We may disclose Personal Information to third parties if we believe that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce or apply the Terms of Use that a Subscriber has accepted in relation to the Service or to protect the rights, property, safety and integrity of Car Huddle or the Service, or otherwise as provided by law or required by any court of competent jurisdiction or any regulatory authority acting under statutory powers.
There may be limited circumstances in which Car Huddle is obliged to disclose Personal Information to unrelated third parties such as:
Personal Information collected by Car Huddle may be processed by Car Huddle’s partners when providing services to Car Huddle (such as administration and technical services, hosting services, data migration services and analytical services). Car Huddle ensures that such partners do not use Personal Information for any other purposes, that they do not disclose it to third parties and do not retain copies except as necessary to provide services to Car Huddle or as required by law.
Other third parties that may have access to Personal Information
We may disclose and transfer Personal Information to other entities in connection with the sale or transfer of our business or our activities relating to the product or Service in connection with which the Personal Information has been collected (including, where necessary, in negotiations towards such sale or transfer). We will ensure that such acquirer will continue to process the Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy (as it may be updated from time to time).
Notification in the event of breach
In the unlikely event of a breach in the security of Personal Information, Car Huddle may decide to notify any Subscriber affected. Car Huddle may give notice via in-product messaging systems, email (if possible), publication on Car Huddle’s website or on the product portals. Subject to legal and regulatory requirements, Car Huddle reserves the right to decide whether or not to give notice of a data breach to Subscribers, and which Subscribers should be notified, and may delay notification if it is asked to do so by law enforcement or other authorities, or if Car Huddle believes that giving notice will increase the risk of harm to its Subscribers.
“Sensitive” information
Car Huddle does not seek to collect “sensitive” Personal Information such as sexual preference, religion, political views, or health. Car Huddle does not wish to receive any such data and will not request it. If Subscribers voluntarily post such information on the Service or share it with other Subscribers, the Subscriber assumes the risk of such information being accessed, used or distributed by others with whom the information was shared.
Data on children
Persons under the age of 16 should not transfer Personal Information to us unless they have the consent of their parent(s) or guardian(s). We do not knowingly collect, nor do we want to receive, Personal Information about individuals who are under 13 years of age.
Changes to your Personal Information and unsubscribing from the Service
You may change the Personal Information that Car Huddle retains about you by accessing the Service and following the instructions. Whenever you update, amend or change your Personal Information, Car Huddle will automatically update your details on the Service. Where you have shared any information with a third party when using the Service and you wish to update such information, you are responsible for notifying the relevant third party of such updates.
You may unsubscribe from the Service at any time. When you unsubscribe from the Service (or when it is otherwise terminated) we will permanently and irretrievably delete all Personal Information we hold on your behalf, save that:
Deleting your account
If you want to delete your account you should send an email to Car Huddle. When your account is deleted all Personal Information will be removed from the visible areas of the Service, however, we will continue to store your personal information for administrative purposes for a period of time. Deleting your account will mean you can no longer log in to the Service, but your Contributions will remain available to view on the Service in anonymised form. We do this for the consistency of the website and to ensure other Subscribers continue to have the experience they expect.
Car Huddle does not control when other websites such as search engines update their cache. Caching by other websites may mean that certain information that you shared externally from the Service remains publicly viewable despite it having been removed from Car Huddle’s publicly viewable database. Your Contributions, therefore, may remain available to view on third party websites which may or may not be in anonymised form. You should contact the third party websites and consult their privacy policies and or terms of use separately.
Privacy Policy Changes
This Privacy Policy was last changed on 1-2-17. If Car Huddle makes changes to the Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted on the Service. Car Huddle may change this Privacy Policy at any time, and any changes will become effective immediately upon being posted unless stated otherwise.
